User Entry and Login

The default password for all users is 'onguard' unless during the class input process each student network password was entered via the CSV file.

ALL users will need to type 'onguard' in the password box the first time they login to 'OnGuard" ACEPro. They will be forced to change the password.

User Entry and Login

ALL users without their network password already entered will be forced to change the password when they open ACEPro for the first time.

Supervisors can 'see' the passwords typed by users and subsequently - can also edit them. This is particularly favourable in the instance of an unsavory password!

Type it into both text boxes and select the 'Change' link to finish.

User Entry - Course Selection

When the user completes the login process, the User Entry page will open.

This page will greet the user by firstname and require him/her to choose the course they wish to view. 

Some users may have a number of course entries in ACEPro.

The user selects the required 'course name' link to move to the next page.

Courses from previous calendar years will also be available for selection.

The user is now able to select the 'OnGuard Safety Training Program' link and open the instruction component of ACEPro.

Once the safe working procedures web instruction has been read in full, a link on the very last page will bring the user back to this page to open the 'Course' link.

Select the 'OnGuard Safety Training Program' link and open the instruction component of ACEPro.

The user selects the module required from the SIX categories. This will open the Module Contents page.

There are FOUR columns presented. They include:

  • Safe Working Web Presentation - HTML format

  • Safe Working Procedure - PDF format

  • Safety Tutorial - PDF format

  • Machine Safety Poster - PDF format

To continue with the instruction and training session the user selects the link to the Web Presentation to the machine required.

This will open the Safe Working Web Presentation.

From the Module Contents page the Safe Working Procedure of the specific machine can be selected and opened in PDF format.

Use the Print command on the browser to print a copy if required.

Use the Print command on the browser to print a copy if required.

From the Module Contents page the Machine Safety Poster of the specific machine can be selected and opened in PDF format.

Use the Print command on the browser to print a copy if required.

From the Module Contents page the Safe Working Web Presentation of the specific machine can be selected and opened in HTML format.

There predominately SIX sections in each presentation. They are:

  • Introduction

  • Risk & Hazards

  • Pre-operational Safety

  • Operating Safety

  • Maintenance

  • Operating Procedures

Users are expected to work their way through the presentation to the last page.

Once the Safe Working Web Presentation has been read in full, a link on the very last page will direct the user back to the 'Course' link.

The user will be required to select this link to continue.

From the Safe Working Web Presentation the Risk Assessment of the specific machine can be selected and opened in MSWord format.

The link to the Risk Assessment is a rotating yellow diamond in the top left hand corner of the Introduction page.

 

User Entry - Course Details

This page sets out the tests to be completed for the course selected.

Any tests already completed will have the date of completion displayed.

To open the required test the user selects the required test link.

 

User Entry - Test Details

The Test Details page will open.

It confirms that the user has selected the correct test in the correct course.

To move on the user selects the 'Do the Safe Work Test' link.

User Entry - Safe Work Test

The Safe Work Test will open.

The user MUST read the test instructions carefully.

The user works through the Safe Work Test until a score of 100% is achieved.

In the event that an error is made the user is to re-fresh the test by selecting the 'Re-Do Test' button.

A 100% score must be achieved before the data is written back to their database record.

 

User Entry - Certificate of Safety

Upon 100% completion of the 'Safe Work Test', the user is required to select the 'Generate Certificate' link, located at the bottom left hand side of the test window. It is in a red colour.

The window may have to be scrolled down to see this link.

Select the' Generate Certificate' link.

Check with the supervisor to see if you are required to print the completed test for filing purposes. If you required to print the completed test select the 'Print Test' link, before selecting the 'Generate Certificate' link.

After selecting the 'Generate Certificate' link, the Certificate of Safety will appear with options at the bottom of the page. These options include:

  • Print Certificate

  • Save Certificate to File

  • Back to Test Details

You are strongly advised to print the certificate for your own records. The date that you successfully completed the test has already been added to your database record.

Selecting the 'Print Certificate' link will cause the browser print dialogue to open.

Make sure you have the correct printer selected before selecting the Print button.

Selecting the 'Save Certificate to File' link will cause the browser Save As dialogue to open.

Make sure you have the correct directory selected before selecting the Save button.

Selecting the 'Back to Test Details' link will take you back to the Test Details page.

You will notice the date has been added next to the test just completed. To return to the start select the 'Course Details' link up in the navigation bar.

User Entry - Test Details - Test Duplication

If the user selects to complete a test that has already been completed - they will be prompted with a message indicating that they have already completed the test.

Supervisors may in fact REQUEST that users take the test again, for reasons such as improper or unsafe behaviour - contrary to instruction!
